Portfolio > Project "Parallel World"

My goal as an artist is to create opportunities for communication and dialogue through art in an attempt to raise awareness about conservation. Both as a person and as an artist I have always been captivated and intrigued by the diversity and complexity of nature, being a constant source of inspiration and admiration for me.
The art works in Project “Parallel World” reflect my personal experiences and ideas directly influenced by my stay in South Africa. The project is focusing on the nature-human interrelationship and on the ever growing human impact on nature. The abundance of textures, limited palette and overall earthiness of tonality in these works reflect my deepest admiration for nature’s magnificent simplicity and immense complexity at the same time. They manifest my fascination with the beautiful and seemingly effortless order which exist throughout the natural world. These works of art promote awareness of the role that we play in sustaining a balance and harmonious relationships with the rest of the living world and our environment. I see in this an opportunity for us to truly fulfill our potential as human beings.
